Personally, I gotta go with Radiologue. It's just one of those songs that kicked my ass from the very first listen and I haven't stopped listening to it since. The first time I listened to Blood, I actually stopped after Radiologue because it was so intense I needed to take a moment.

I love them all, some of them are really catchy, others amazingly distant. But I've listened to Blood the most. The second part (the one that was featured in the preview) is just among the best moments in music. Ever.

"we got what we want ask anyone, but war still war it's medicine, the wind's at our back when we attack 'cause God is our man he understands, the heart the heart it beats for blood..."

I like False Start. Primarily because I'm a drummer and the drums are really groovin and open. I love the lyrics to. Blood is still growing on me. The moore (haha) I listen to it, the more I like it! ---------- Chroma Key/Kevin Moore Tribute site on My Space www.myspace.com/songsforthesad

This album is the best OSI album for me. The most mature and organic. It's difficult to pick up the best song...they are so different and the song I prefere depends on my mood. But in general, I like Blood (the song), so I vote for it.

"Blood" title track for damn sure... it's so addictively amazing and Kevin writes so well with anything he does... it's the best drug of 2009 for me! After "Blood" i'd pick: "We Come Undone", "The Escape Artist", "Radiologue", "Be The Hero", "Stockholm" in that order!

Wow, looks like "Blood" is in the lead so far! I think the lyrics to the song "Blood" are really clever. I love the way Kevin will slightly tweak a phrase to give it a totally different meaning: "It's been a long time, I thought you'd get it...... It's been a long time, let's just forget it." He does it so casually in the context of his lyrics, but it's really smart too.

Blood's my favourite on the album by miles. There are so many things I love about it. The sounds used, the vocals, the part at around 2:30 where there's a slow build up, and then everything except a droning bass note cuts out, and this really distant sounding, empty feeling piano melody, the background vocals after the chorus. It's a really dark and empty sounding song, but at the same time it's calming, more than being depressing.
We Come Undone and Terminal are another two highlights for me.

"Be the hero from coast to coast, Be the hero from coast to coast yeah". That line have got stuck in my head and its so cool to sing. Be The hero is obliviously my favorite, after that Terminal and then the rest of the songs with Stockholm on the last place.

I'm kinda not crazy about the long silence that goes on before "Be The Hero" kicks in. I often find myself forwarding ahead. But that song kicks ass. I think Kevin said that's the song that came together the easiest with the least tinkering. I wonder what the song is about.

Blood is my favourite song on the album. It is so catchy, chilling, haunting, beautiful and the lyrics -which I interpret as anti-war- are brilliant. The song just has a huge adrenalin-building feeling to it-I love it.

BE THE HERO - I wonder what the song is about. To my mind it is about Iraq or Palestine: Foreign invading troops coming into a town and destroying the place. Also its probably about hired mercenaries being used in war. These crazy muscly guys who are hired guns in other countries wars. Or just about Americas soldiers who are total devotees to the cause of the Government and blindly ignorant to the damage they cause along the way.

hi fellow 'ckfan'! hehe i'm sorry but i have to disagree about song "Be The Hero".. Kevin said himself that most lyrics are about relationships but some politics get thrown in along the way yeah.. But in this particular song's words, he mentions school shootings too.. and i TOTALLY disagree that troops sent anywhere in the world are "blindly ignorant" at all! Just like ANY military unit of ANY country, they're following their orders. Sure, some are 'gung-ho' but they represent a force sent to do their job(s). That's what Kev's talking about too..the glorified heroes..when i visited UK awhile ago i was surprised at amount of crime magazines. People ALL over the world glorify death and gruesome stories of crime too like school shootings. Hollywood is not innocent either..and it's also due to the media running with it constantly... geez i hate talking politics u have every right to interpret lyrics as u see them.. that's the liberation of music and art. BTW, i do agree that "Blood" is the best and simply Kmo magic! ckfan: welcome to Mooreatorium..again!

Lines about phoning home from the Green Zone and sipping Coca Cola definitely makes me believe Be The Hero is about American mercenaries or American soldiers in Iraq. The lines about the schoolyard make me think of Palestine. It's anti-war though. He isn't advocating being a hero or sipping cola or phoning home from the green zone.

Wow, ckfan, Good analysis of the lyrics. I hadn;t really thought about Be The Hero lyrics yet. I gotta say, Kev really did a great job of making the lyrics blend between real war and war in relationships.

I'm thinking of doing a poll to see what wins as the best Kevin Moore song of all time. I would post like 25-30 songs (ranging from like DT's Space Dye Vest to CK's On The Page to OSI's Go) and each person can vote on 5 songs (not just 1). Then we can see what fans consider to be the top Kmo song ever. I'm just curious what would win.
