Hey, everyone. I figured I'd ressurect this thread, because I noticed a few new faces here lately since the announcement of Shine. Feel free to introduce yourselves! Name, location, age, KM history, fav song, etc.
It's great to see the forum so busy. There are times when it's quiet, but that's OK because I know there's a few weeks each year when big news hits and we need a central location to talk.
Anyway, here's my background:
Name: Mike Location: Long Island, NY (a few miles from KM's hometown!) Age: 31 Occupation: Reporter Fav song: Space-Dye Vest Other comments: I consider myself free!

good idea Mike.....
Name: Bernt Location: Skien, Telemark, Norway (where Henrik Ibsen was born) Age: 39 Occupation: musician, graphic design and digital prints Fav KM albums: no favorite ... Most interesting... Probably "Memory Hole" Other comments: very much into post rock, dark jazz, doom jazz... My way to KM is not through dream theater or metal music, though I love metal and DT
Silence is also a sound....

Nice idea - it's always interesting to know who's behind the forum!
Name: Philip Location: England (split my time between the South-East and North-West!) Age: 19 Occupation: Student - currently in the second year of a physics degree Fav KM albums: You Go Now, Free and Blood - not necessarily in that order Other comments: I've edited a lot of KM-related Wikipedia articles, among others, but I'm trying to tear myself away from Wikipedia and spend more time being creative (writing music and prose). These days I mostly listen to post-rock, ambient/drone, and I'm starting to listen to some avant-garde jazz.

Welcome to all the newcomers! Good to see new faces, get new takes on our discussions Una, I'm a chem major, pretty much just starting, but I'll be mostly in the Physical chemistry, which has a lot to do with physics as well. How do you like it, and tell me something interesting you have learned lately. I'm about to have a baby so I had to skip last semester and this semester so I'm dying for some cool chem/phys stuff!!

I play guitar and bass with a smattering of everything else and love nothing more than talking about all facets of music.

Sweet! Yeah I'm loving physics so far, at the moment leaning more to theoretical physics over experimental physics. I haven't done much physics in the past three months, but I'm starting again in a couple of weeks, which should be good fun. Probably looking forward to quantum mechanics the most.

Ahem. Hello! I'm Shelly. I used to hang out on the old board, and then I ran onthepage for a while, and then that went away and I posted here twice and then never really got back into posting. But hello old friends! And new people! I'm excited to meet you. I'm 26, from the US. I'm a librarian at a university. Married, no kids, no pets, just records and video games. I like doom and drone, krautrock and psychrock and anything noisy and beautiful. I like coffee and tea and bourbon and snow. Oh, and Kevin Moore.

Hello everyone! My name is James. Mebert found my cover of Wait for Sleep and posted it on here, so I joined up! I live in Alabama and I am studying to become a professional music producer and studio musician. I play several instruments(some better than others >.>). I play guitar, bass, piano, a small amount of flute, and drums. You can check out my covers at www.youtube.com/NothingonTFAs I've stated, I've done a cover of Wait for Sleep. I've also done several video game songs and Lifting Shadows off a Dream by Dream Theater. I hope to get to meet some cool people here!

Hai everybody
I come here from DreamTheaterForums, where I'm a regular, but I'm also a Moore fanboi (Space-Dye Vest being one of the greatest songs ever written).
Although I'm not a huge OSI fan I enjoy the music and am looking forward to the next album

Wow, hey playslikemyung! Nice to see a DTF face here. You and I definitely have the same taste in DT songs. I remember when I went to a show with ZepellinDT this summer, we were talking about DT forums members and I said that I don't know anything about playslikemyung, but I've noticed he and I seem to like the same DT songs, lol.

Hey Guys! My Name is Anthony Medici and I just signed up yesterday. Let me just say that I am stoked to find this. I have been really wanting to meet more Kevin Moore fans ever since I for the most part got the rest of his solo and OSI music this year. I am 21 years old and I live in Portland, Oregon. I am an aspiring musician. Like so many of us its seems like, Dream Theater was a very important band to me growing up. Opening many doorways I didnt think were possible. I first heard the Six Degrees album in 2003 and that was it for me. I was never the same. It wasnt till about 2007 till I would hear any Chroma-Key, but I was very aware of all 3 keyboard players that had played in the band (being a Planet X fan too). Just comparing them all for their work in dream theater, Moore was always and still is my favorite. (Wait for sleep is one of the most beautiful ballads of all time in my opinion). I remember wondering what Kevin Moore had been up to after DT and trying to look it up online, but I guess I didnt do a very good job cause I remember not finding anything, so I just gave up. That being said, I came across Chroma-Key accidentally online on a search for new music. It was Dead Air for Radios. I had no idea who it was but I LOVED it. I listened to it over and over and thought it was absolutely incredible. Then I remember looking up to see who it was and to my glorious surprise it said Kevin Moore and SINGING too! Since that day I have been a die hard fan. I think my favorite record is YOU GO NOW. Its great to be here and Ill keep up on my posting. Nice to meet you all! ;D

Greetings, Kevin Moore faithful!
I joined about three months ago when Kevin started fundraising for the "Shine" project. I initially joined to be on the pulse of all the breaking KM news, but I instead found an endearing community of music lovers!
Can't wait to hear from more of you...
