OK, so one of my friends got into OSI a few months ago after hearing "Go" on my MySpace profile. I then burned her an OSI CD with 12 songs. I thought 12 was a good amount for a starting fan. If you do more than a dozen songs, the person might skip around instead of focusing on the best songs like you intended. So here are the songs I picked. I tried to pick songs with KMO vocals (not ShutDOWN or Stockholm), because I wanted to keep the true OSI vibe. What 12 would you have picked?
1. OSI 2. When You're Ready 3. Head 4. Sure You Will 5. Free 6. Go 7. All Gone Now 8. Better 9. The Escape Artist 10. False Start 11. Radiologue 12. Blood
The funny thing is, "Office of Strategic Influence" is my fav OSI album, but I only picked three songs from it.

Depending on what music the person I'm trying to convert has been used to I'd choose between the more metal or more electronic songs.
More electronic/mellowcompilation:
1. When You're Ready 2. Hello, Helicopter!" 3. Head 4. Go 5. Bigger Wave 6. Our Town 7. Terminal 8. Radiologue 9. Blood 10. Kicking 11. All Gone Now 12. Simple Life
And a bit heavier one:
1. The New Math (What He Said) 2. OSI 3. Dirt From a Holy Place 4. Sure You Will 5. All Gone Now 6. The Escape Artist 7. False Start 8. Blood 9. Better. 10. Horseshoes and B-52's 11. Be The Hero 12. Our Town

Here's my list: - The Escape Artist
- Go
- All Gone Now
- Radiologue
- Memories Daydream Lapses
- Better
- We come undone
- Head
- When You're Ready
- Blood
- False Start
- Standby (Looks Like Rain)
I'm a bit amazed that noone has yet listed Memories Daydream Lapses which is one of my absolute favorites. I just love the blend of the odd time signatures and the calm melancholic mood that Kevin put on top of them. Its a masterpiece...

I'm a bit amazed that noone has yet listed Memories Daydream Lapses which is one of my absolute favorites. What he said - Sure You Will
- When You're Ready
- Free
- The Escape Artist
- Go
- Home Was Good
- Be The Hero
- Bigger Wave
- Terminal
- Memory Daydreams Lapses
- Standby (Looks Like Rain)
- Blood
Started off with 4 songs I really liked from each album (then switched OSI for Sure You Will), then basically shuffled them about a bit - the only things I put in any conscious order were opening with Sure You Will, and the last three tracks.

Well I can tell you that just yesterday I went on a small roadtrip with my sister. I decided she was special enough to be introduced to OSI, because I knew she would appreiciate it. In my honest opinion, travelling in a vehicle is not the BEST place to first hear KevMo's magic, but of course he did the job splendidly. I started off with Free. We started at number one and went all the way through. She asked to hear Go one more time, then the entire album again. Then we listened to Blood. Blood did not move her as much, but like I said, I think the only way to really appreiciate the music is to chill in the dark for a bit so that you can give it your full attention.
Go Bigger Wave Simple Life Radiologue Terminal Blood Standby (Looks like rain) Kicking Once Sure you will Free ShutDOWN

I don't like compilations. I think even if each song is independent they are invisibly connected to the whole album. If someone would like to be introduced to OSI I will probably give him the whole Blood.
