Well, I accidentally deleted the previous thread. Apparently, we got hit this morning with 5-6 bots or trollers or spam posters, whatever you want to call them. I've banned their email and IP addresses and deleted their posts. So hopefully we are good now. If not, I may have to start a regsitration approval fearture, like someone suggested. Sorry about the spam!

Also, sorry that the website background disappeared. Apparently, the link where I uploaded the giant background image has expired, so i need to re-upload it when i get to my home computer. This is a day of technical probs!

It would be useful to use a compressed background image. 1.22 MB are pretty much. I made a compressed version for you. niop.de/shinebackground36RE.jpgAn image host like 666kb.com has no time limit - you could upload it there. Furthermore i don't recommend using captchas as registration barrier, because bots are pretty good in solving them. I have made good experience in using a simple Question, that everyone could answer (well, every human), e.g. "Type in the last name of the artist, this forum is devoted to." (possible Answers: moore, Moore). That's not complicated, but a bot program can not handle this. But it's a long time, since i ran a forum and that was a different software. I don't know, if it is possible to implement such a feature in here. Niop

Thanks, Niop! I appreciate the compressed image The background seems to have reappeared, but I'll look into this more later when I get home and see if I can use your image and start using 666kb.bom as well, so we don't have unwelcome intruders again.
