I recorded a few original tunes this winter when I was between bands but forgot to spam this board with this critical info :-) It doesn't sound like anything by KM except that I did drop in some ambient sounds and vocal samples. Check them out if you're so inclined. Kinda progish and acousticy.. lyrically dark for some reason. Thanks, -Greg Girardin greggirardin.bandcamp.com/

Nice music! very quiet and atmospheric. I spent all afternoon here at work listening to them. Good job!

Thanks a lot lukeduke! I really appreciate that you took the time to check them out.
I had fun recording them and am happy with how they turned out. It was my first "internet collaboration". The drummer, bass player, and accordion player never actually met. I just sent them scratch tracks, then the bassist and accordion players came to my place and I recorded them.. the drummer recorded his parts in his basement and sent me the track.
I"m planning to do a few more this summer.

I have a band too. And we also use to make song exchanging files through internet. In 2005 we made a full lenght album in this way and now we are doing the second one. It think internet is a good thing for musician. And I suppose in few years technology will also allow to play together but each one ina different place...
Keep me informed about your new songs!

That's great. Is any of your music online?
The internet as a collaborative tool is pretty great of course. I'm just late to taking advantage of it because most of my originals I do by myself.
I don't think we'll be able to "play together" via the internet for a while. Bandwidth isn't a problem but getting latency down to a usable amount is. I'd guess that any more than a few ms of latency would make it impractical.

I think latency will get down in few years and some application will appear to make a sort of Video-music-call conferencing. My music online? You can find a song here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=WrATehK93FgIf you like it, you can search for more, I think there are other videos on youtube. And if you continue to like it, I can send you a (free) digital copy of the album.

ha.. Hey lukeduke.
I actually thought the tunes were really good! good production and everything. Sounds like you recorded in a real studio. But it's not a style I find myself listening to much right now. I've been listening to pretty mellow / ambient stuff at work. (with the exception of Arch / Matheos of course, that album never gets old)
