As a Canadian i have always been a rush listener. Recently my fondness for the the group has been rekindled. I got snakes and arrows when it came out back in 2006 but kind of hated it...i had been ignoring them since vapor trails. I did love Counterparts not so much Test for Echo.
Anyway i stumbled across this vid:
and it completely reignited my fondness for the toronto trio. I got this live album "Time Machine" ...i actually think its fantastic. I even LOVE some of the newer tracks. Faithless from snakes and arrows is beautiful and BU2B has really grown on me.
To make matters more exciting they have a bran new concept album coming out in June. Any other Rush fans out there?

I'm a fan.
I loved Snakes and Arrows actually. My favorite albums are Power Windows and Counterparts.

Snakes & Arrows was too long I thought. Some really great tunes, especially towards the start, but it just drags on.
My favourite albums are probably Moving Pictures, Power Windows and Counterparts.
I was lucky enough to see them on the Time Machine tour (although the tickets were pretty damn expensive... £65). It was awesome - especially when they played Leave That Thing Alone. A criminally underrated Rush track. The whole of Moving Pictures was also incredible.

yes Leave that thing Alone has been a favorite of mine since i saw them do it live on the counterparts tour. Interesting that we are all so fond of counterparts yet it isnt typically one of their higherly regarded albums.

Moving Pictures isn't my favorite album by them, but The Camera Eye is just about my favorite song...
