Hello there.
I have heard or read (i don't remember if it was on a interview or a site) that OSI have a 3 album contratc with Inside Out Music.
So... Where are the album? Anyone that follow Jim Matheos knows something about news about that?

I believe the first three OSI albums were on Inside Out Music, and the fourth OSI album was through Metal Blade Records, so the three-album deal with Inside Out that you speak of is likely complete. But if anyone else has any other details, feel free to share.

Ok.. Maybe "Fire Make Thunder" was not enough for me!

Look, I’m going to be honest, and I’ll probably get some flack for it. OSI had its moments, don’t get me wrong. But I think the idea of OSI was somehow more exciting than the overall end result. The fire make thunder album in particular just felt rushed and uninspired, almost a drag. By the end of it, I had frankly had enough of the Matheos collaboration! As much as I love some of those fates YouTube shows featuring Kevin... compared to the work with DT, and on chroma key, I just don’t think it’s his most interesting song writing, and frankly it feels like it was just a way to sell some albums to metal fans from someone who seems pretty uninterested in doing anything metal anymore...

I liked Fire, although it was not their best work by any stretch. OSI remains my favorite "progressive rock" music. About 6 years ago, I was searching for "bands that sound like early Pòrcupine Tree" and stumbled across OSI. I promptly bought everything Kevin Moore related I could find. The Chroma Key stuff and the 2 disc version of Blood are my favorites. How did OSI and Croma Key slip under the radar? I still can't believe it!

Well. I understand that you don't like it anymore (or the same amount you used to like), but let's be realistic: we didn't have to listen do The Astonishing by Dream Theater or Music From The Elder by Kiss. Not even the thrashy version of The Division Bell AKA Endless River by Pink Gilmour... But the answwer is in your own post: it sells and there are people that like it. Don't get me wrong, i'm not angry! I'm just trying to show you the "light" side of these wrongs things that artists sometimes does. And believe me or not, these rare bad moments does NOT keep them from doing anything better. Without the bad songs, we would problably be listening to nothing or good songs anyway. Kevin doing OSI wouldn't keep him from creating Chroma Key...

It’s not really that I don’t like it anymore, it’s just that there was a long period, with basically only matheos related output and if I had to pick only the material with matheos or only the material without... I’m afraid I would have to choose without, as much as I do love some of it.

Some examples are the new CK Demos that Kev's been releasing having Matheos guitar parts on them and this gem right here:

This kinda looks like God is An Astronaut... I think this is how songs with more of Matheos sounds like. I mean... OSI é the perfect combination of Moore/Matheos. The demos featuring Matheos (Strong, if i'm not mistaken) is " Moorer" (sorry!). And... Tuesday The Sky we can hear predominantly Matheos in the songwriting. Good to know I prefer more of Moore!

Of course it is all different, what I was referring to is that they're all magical in their own way when they work with each other. It just works and flows smoothly and nicely.

Yea, there’s some interesting collaborations. But OSI would never give us a wait for sleep or space dye vest...and no I don’t think he would realistically work on OSI plus another solo project. But hey I would far from upset with another OSI...

I don't really think we're gonna get another "Wait for Sleep" or even "Space-Dye Vest" again! Haha xD
For what I can see from his demos, he's not very into piano songs anymore... I hope I'm wrong.
