Spent yesterday listening to CK back catalog for the first time in like a decade. The Mouse is a brilliant song btw.
Anyway, so what’s the latest? The Patreon thing was going alright until 2019. I was actually hoping we’d see a lot of updates during 2020 , when many artists had time to work, but nope, in fact there wasn’t a single one. I believe I complained about a sound quality issue for the latest demo on patreon forum, and KM responded saying not to worry, it’s just a demo. So I was psyched by that, believing there would be a final version. In fact maybe that’s what he’s been quietly working on?? I’ve wanted to believe that.
However at this point, roughly a decade since the start of the project, it’s seeming less and less likely. Especially since I hear he’s working in healthcare ?? The demos all seem to be on YouTube now…
Dead air for Radios and YGN were both fantastic albums, that deserved way more attention than they got. The new Demos have those same exceptional surprising moments, but could be so much more with an actual production effort.
Has he just decided that this Spotify music era isn’t worth the extreme effort? I wouldn’t blame him. It would be nice to get an update one way or another…
