Thanks Mebert. Glad I only ruined it for one person (so far).

Arthur, I bet that was a lot of fun performing that in public!! And thank you for sharing it with us. My fiancé is wants to learn White Robe, and I'm about to start pushing for him and his friend to try Astronaut Down and some others.

Put your own unique spin on it... try something new. That's what Kevin does. If you've ever heard the original of Christian Brothers or New Mama you'll see how Kevin likes to change things up. Can't wait to hear it.

Õh yeah, I've heard the original Christian Brothers and it's amazing what Kev did with it. It's called a cover for a reason, Wiche, not everything is supposed to sound the same

Simply an amazing cover. You've absolutely nailed it, like you say a new twist but still true to the original. Hats off and all. ^^This, it is a great cover Arthur! I really liked it. And cool to finally see a Chroma Key song live for the first time.

Here's a pretty kick-ass cover of "Metropolis" posted on YouTube this week.

A school marching band does DT's "6:00" and "Take the Time"! There used to be one with Metropolis Part 1 and Wait For Sleep, which was amazing. It has been removed, though, I think. Such a shame, I'd love everyone to watch it.

Interesting to see, although they seem to be doing quite a bit of marching and very little music.

This is not a KM-related cover, it's DT's "Octavarium." But it's amazing and deserved to be posted:

I like that the director chose to do it, but I wasn't impressed with the school band. Choreography was lame. Love the pianist though!

I really enjoyed the Colorblind cover by Arthur. Honestly I didn't like it that much when I listened to it the first time. But yesterday I gave it another try and I love it. Well done!

I'm actually starting to work on a final version of my studio cover for OSI's "Head". Should be done in a few weeks, and available online for listeniong pleasure.
I was also learning how to play "Standby (Looks Like Rain)" and thinking of adding it to a future Worldengine live set list!

Thanks Niop! Glad it grew on you!
I think covers sometimes have to grow on people. At first it's jarring because you can't help be bothered by how different it is. Eventually, the cover will either stand as a good song by itself, or it will be revealed to just be crap no matter how you listen to it.

Thanks for your feedback! I think it is also about unconscious expectations, too early comparison and disappointment.
When you read the song title, know the song and also know which buttons the song pushes inside of you, which emotions it causes, then certain expectations rise in your mind and you unconsciously want that cover song to do the same. You start to compare it with the original song from the first note. The result is a disappointment, of course. Because no song or cover song can reach or surpass the feelings or emotions, that the original causes (even if the words "reach and surpass" are pretty improper when talking about emotions).
Only if you accept the cover as a different "being", as a different journey, you can enjoy it and let it bloom. Different emotions, different thoughts and feelings develop, which can now be compared with the effect of the original on you. And that is a very exciting thing.
I hope my english is ok, and that it is understandable. Niop
P.S. Since you sang the song: I was always curious about, what "290 blue" and "3 CV" are. I am not that much into color coordinates, but 290 isn't inside the RGB range and 290° on the color circle is most likely violet. I didn't figure out any meaning of "3 CV". It is certainly some kind of gray, context-wise. Maybe just random formalisms? Do you have any ideas? Thanks!
