Man that was very well put together, James!! And I was highly impressed with key sounds you located. This is a truly passionate fan cover done with care. Bravo! And thanks for letting me be a part of this. After all, my forum signature below was begging to be heard again...16 years later! You know, once on CK forum I asked who did that sample. If it was Kevin himself or some other person. It does sound like his voice. Never did get a response, tho. Best that way I suppose. Adds to song's mystique.

Thanks guys. Phil it was a shot in the dark trying to find it all. If you listen to the original, in addition to the prominent synth line there's a slower, more subdued backing line. That was the hardest to fake, so I kept it in F, switched the pickup selector to neck and played a scale with my fingers instead of a pick. The final sound is close but unique enough to fit what I wanted.
I agree on the sample, the original sounds just like him. I like your "matter of fact" delivery too, think it fits exceptionally well.

came across this ...always wondered what DT would sound like with a female vocalist. This isnt exactly the same as that but...its not bad.
imagine like Amy Lee + DT ? i think that would kind of be amazing.

A nice job of DT's "Eve" by some guys in India Surely you are ironic? That was the worst ever. I need one of those bags you find on airplanes.

This was just posted yesterday by some teenager in Germany. I thought it was beautiful how he performed the song so devotedly while everyone around him was being noisy.

I'm a bit tardy on this post but that should be very cool to listen to when you're finished, Valmor. Kevin really enjoyed the "Head" version you put together, as I'm sure all of us here did including me. Wonder which OSI track..hmm

WOW! First, excellent choice for a cover. Just like the choice of "Blusong" that was done earlier this year. This "Communicant" cover came out really great. Thanks for sharing it!

Thanks, guys! :-D
We're movnig away from OSI for a while and our next cover will be a big american band form the 90's scene (but still in major activity). We're working out a major makeover on one of their best songs!
